2020 - 2021 Colorado State Cinderella Teen

Hi! My name is Lindsey Like and I am your 2020-2021 Colorado Cinderella Teen! I have been involved in the Cinderella program since I was a baby and it has inspired me to become the person I am today! Over the course of my involvement I have been lucky to hold 2011-2012 Colorado Miniature Miss, 2015-2016 Colorado Miss, and 2020-2021 International Cover Girl. While holding these titles, Cinderella has taught me how to be confident, have poise, and show beauty inside and out. I am honored to have been a part of this program for the past 17 years and can’t wait to continue through the year!

I am also a performer, coach, and technical rigger apprentice with aerial dance at Iluminar Aerial in Colorado. We are a company who strives to bring arts into our community as well as give kids the opportunity to perform in a unique way. I have always enjoyed being on stage, but aerial dance has given me the opportunity to fly. Being in the air and watching smiles appear on the audience’s faces is one of the most rewarding parts of performing. The shows that we put on portray meaningful stories that challenge me technically and mentally in the best ways. For example, this year we are creating our own adaptation of Oh The Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss. The book follows a child out into the world, and through the emotional rollercoaster of life. As I portray this character, I plan to take the lessons I learn and apply them to my next venture, as I enter the real world to begin my college career and life away from home.

Speaking of college, I am very excited to start the next journey of my life this fall. So far I have been accepted into all of my Colorado schools including DU, Regis, CSU, and UNC as well as Illinois State University. The final college I am waiting on is Florida State University, which also happens to be my top choice. If I get into FSU I plan to continue aerial dance through their “Flying High Circus”. As for my academics, I plan to earn a degree in forensic sciences with an emphasis in Crime Scene Investigation. I am counting down the days until I find out about my acceptance in mid February!
