Hindsight is 2020

Goodbye 2020! Benjamin Franklin said, "Experience is the best teacher, but a fool will learn from no other." 2020 was a year like no other and it certainly taught us that we need each other to make our way through the journey of life. We learned what is important and to make time for our friends and family. 2020 was not the year we had planned for Colorado Cinderella, but we made the most of it.

The Colorado State Cinderella 2020 Royalty was crowned in July and 2 weeks later we were off to Dallas Texas for the 2020 International Cinderella Pageant. It was a first for us all, a masked pageant with social distancing. Pageant girls are huggers and you can only imagine how hard it was for everyone to greet each other with an elbow bump. Cinderella is family and you want to hug your family, but you also want to keep them safe. It was a fun week filled with friends, competition, parties, laughter and love. Lindsey Like, CO Teen, brought the International Cinderella Teen Cover Girl crown home to Colorado.

September brought with it our Kick-off Prelim in Grand Junction and the official start of the 2020-2021 pageant season. In October, the Grand Junction enjoyed a day at a pumpkin patch. The state royalty participated in Shopping Extravaganza, our annual fundraiser. November brought daily gratitude post from our state royalty. We ended the year in December with Zoom Christmas parties and a special visit from Cinderella sisters Masie, Maddie, & Isabelle. The year 2020 had many challenges, but it was a good year for CO Cinderella and we learned so much from this experience.

As we say goodbye to 2020 and welcome 2021, we hope that you will follow the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year."

Happy New Year!! May every day of 2021 be the best day of the year.
